If you are applying to sign the Bar roll and
are in practice as a solicitor, either as a sole practitioner
or as a partner in a firm, you must undertake before commencing
your reading:
| a. |
to have your name removed from the letterhead and business
name of the former practice; and |
| b. |
to pay all counsels' fees for which you have become
liable while acting as principal. |
Alternatively, you must make arrangements, satisfactory to
the Bar's Applications Review Committee and to each barrister
concerned, to transfer liability for the payment of outstanding
fees to your successor in your former practice.
