Women Barristers

Introduction

The Women Barristers' Directory on this website facilitates searches according to areas of practice and other criteria and gives information about the formal qualifications and experience of those women barristers who have agreed to be listed in the directory.

The women barristers directory provides the names of all women barristers who are members of the Victorian Bar, are known to us to have current Victorian practising certificates and who have agreed to appear in this directory.

You can either search for a barrister or obtain a alphabetical listing of barristers. You are also invited to visit our section on the Women Barristers' Association.

Many women have since signed the Roll to specialise in advocacy, mediation and general advice. They practise in all areas of law and in all jurisdictions.

Her daughter became the first Victorian woman judge in 1976 when Justice Margaret Lusink was appointed to the Family Court of Australia.
